Hemodialysis is a lifeline for dialysis dependent patients.

Dialysis is the only way to filter toxins & excess fluid in the body for these patients as they are suffering from long standing kidney disease- chronic kidney disease. A good venous access- catheterisation is required to get adequate dialysis. This can be through the neck veins or leg veins or through the fistula which is created surgically on the arm.

These catheter may face problems of reduced flow, blocks or infections and need to be watched carefully and replaced if required.

Multiple, repeated catheterisation may lead to failure of the dialysis access and is a challenging situation.

You need an experienced interventional radiologist to fix this problem. And you can find solutions for your dialysis access related issues at VAC- vascular access center.
